Air Your Art in Louisville

Event Registration

Update

BUILD - Air Your Art - Update

BUILD (Businesses United In Louisville’s Development) President, Terri Scholting, has announced that the application deadline for the “Air Your Art in Louisville” banner project has been extended. “We will hold the project open until all 23 banners are spoken for” says President Scholting.

Interested artists still have time to submit a sketch and entry form for the project, which involves artists designing and painting streetlight pole banners. The design should relate to the theme “150 Years and Still Making Tracks.” The painted banners will be displayed on Main Street in Louisville, May 17th through September 8th. BUILD will work with artists to help defray the cost of the materials. It has been decided that the proceeds this event will be split with the artists at the end of the event!

If interested in participating, please contact Terri Scholting at 402-234-2504 as soon as possible to learn more about the application process.

An entry form and complete rules for the event can also be obtained by clicking here

Eggs on the 30 Yard Line

First Down - 10 Eggs to Go!

egg hunting, is all about preparation and attitude, and keeping your eye on the egg

I have never actually witnessed this myself, but I am told the annual scramble for Easter Eggs in Louisville is an amazing event!. Just like in the pros,  the clock is your enemy. Avoid fancy plays, good defense is the key. The old stiff arm, and speed are your friends on the field. Once you get that grease paint under each eye, you better focus, you better get your game face on, or the yolk is on you!

..don't fumble that egg!

More than a few eggs have changed hands, (couple times), at the bottom of the heap in a scamble. Lots of punching at the egg, can get you a turnover and then you are fried. Hang tough and let the referees sort out the omelet.

..taking a knee..

As the clockwinds down, and the contest is in the books, everyone stretches, shakes off that slight ligament tear, takes a last look around for any fumbled eggs and then heads for home with their full baskets and
dreams about next year!!

..when the Bunny comes..
