American Legion Re-Opens Saturday
Gary and Carolyn Baker from Louisville and Larry and Deb Rittenbery from Bellevue talked some time ago about opening the Legion Club.
After months of "thinking about it" thay decided to go for it!!!!
The business will remain the Legion Club Post 353.
Since the establishment has been closed for four years there was a lot of things
that needed immediate attention.
For right now only the bar part of the business will be open and hopefully a few
months down the road we can have the kitchen up and ready to serve food.
Our opening date is Saturday the 24th of May.
We plan to be open on Friday's and Saturday's thereafter, and as time and other jobs permit we will add hours during the week.

From the Editor
By the dawns's early light..
out of the mouths of babes..
..when out on the lawn there arose such a clatter...
I was stunned to discover a small group of neighborhood children, assembled beneath my window, that fine morning singing reverantly: America the Beautiful! Wow!
Perfect harmony, focused and controlled small angelic voices entwined to render the music that compels strong men to remove their hats and sing:
O beautiful, for spacious skies, For amber waves of grain...
I was so moved, tears welling up in my eyes, and then I noticed something odd.. they were not smiling,.. in fact these angelic little faces were scowling.. at me! and pointing..
at my yard!!!
..Oh My..
It was just then the wind blew slightly, and sure enough..
..amber waves of grain..
I get it. I guess I better get this lawn mowed, quick.

We did it!
BUILD , and especially the Events Committee, and especially the dynamic duo of Dee and Nancy and especially our fearless leader Terri Scholting and especially Kari and the Louisville Care Community and especially all the Business Community and especially thw dozens of volunteers made this last Saturday a pretty darn good first ever
"Air Your Art in Louisville"
It could not have been a nicer day!
This all came together in about 1/5th the time that it should have normally required, and there were numerous mid-stream corrections, and modifications, but we made it, and there were some real bright spots:
hey did you see the packed parking lot for all the Art Fleas at
the new 5th Street Studio!
Look at some of the Photos: Click Here Melody has a new group of art loving faithful and indeed it was part of the goal of the festival to grow the image of Louisville as...
..a wonderful fun destination.
To camp, to fish, to lunch, to browse - and maybe to live!
