B.U.I.L.D. Plans Begin for “Air Your Art in Louisville”
On
Saturday, May 17, 2008 Louisville’s BUILD group and its Events
Committee are excited to launch a new event entitled “Air Your Art in
Louisville.” We will engage 23 artists to paint canvas banners to hang
on Main Street and they will be unveiled during this art event. Each
banner will be sponsored by a local business and will be on display
throughout the summer to be sold at auction this fall. Also planned is
an art fair in the Louisville City Park in conjunction with the annual
“Thrown & Blown ” event sponsored by the Louisville Art Gallery .
The
annual Louisville Parade will be a huge part of the day as well. In the
past, the parade has been BUILD’s contribution to Louisville Daz
sponsored by the Louisville Jaycees. This year the normally scheduled
Memorial Saturday event will not take place because of a shortage of
Jaycees members and possibility of the important group disbanding.
BUILD has voted to hold its event a week before the Memorial Day
Holiday weekend.
Anyone wishing to participate in the
parade or art fair will soon be able to apply on the Louisville City website…www.LouisvilleNebraska.com
Our
objective for this event is to take advantage of Louisville’s already
established reputation for its artsy influences and to expand on that
theme making our community a destination for tourists and artists
alike. We are confident our art fair and art banner display will bring
these two groups together with all aspects of art from painting to
sculpting to music and beyond.
BUILD wishes to thank the
Louisville Jaycees for their many past contributions to Louisville.
Many events would not have been possible without these dedicated
members.
We truly hope their numbers increase so they will
again be a driving force in Louisville.

Life's Mysteries
Roses in February
I have been getting dumber since I was 17
I know that because at 17, I was the smartest guy on the planet. Since 17 I started noticing that everybody else was getting steadily smarter, year after year, especially my parents. Even my sister is getting smarter!
If you really want to get dumb in a hurry, get married!
Suddenly you wake up, and you don't know anything.
But, in balance it is all the way it is supposed to be.
Life Is Pretty Darn Good!
However, I don't think I am ever going to understand the whole Valentines Day deal.
It just does not register with me the attraction that a clump of Flowers, in the Middle of February has, but ... my God... it is absoultely
100% take-it-to-the-bank dependable!
Hey, this is not just me!
Ask any guy if they would rather get a bunch of roses
No contest!
My question here is what if you gave your gal Copple Expert detailing instead of the Roses This year? Hmm?
I mean, think about it!
Everything all fresh and new, (like roses), clean and bright, (like tulips), smelling great with that wonderful new car smell.. Wow!
That should be better then a bunch of stupid lilacs that are just gonna croak in a couple days... Well I am just saying, some times you have to think outside of the Vase!
Don't You?
