B.U.I.L.D Is Not Just For Business People, Its More!
At the last B.U.I.L.D meeting Dec 6th, it has been underscored that anyone can attend meetings - one does not have to own a business to be a member.
"B.U.I.L.D. would like to encourage and invite all interested citizens to become involved in our organization. B.U.I.L.D. was originally started by business owners but it has evolved into an organization that has diverse membership. Anyone who is interested in serving on a committee, helping with events, helping greet people to town, helping with the look of the town, or helping with economic development is welcome to join our organization. There are no dues or required meeting attendance, just willingness to jump in and help your neighbors. Please contact Terri Scholting for more information."
At this meeting Joan Knott /Royal Neighbors/ gave a recap of the Ringing in the Season event. The Royal Neighbors bake sale was a huge success. There were 80-90 kids in to see Santa at the Art Gallery. An evaluation of the event will be done in the near future. Joan suggested a Ringing in the Season committee for next year. If you have any ideas or want to become a committee member for the event, let Joan or Terri know. It was agreed that a “tradition” needs to be built again for the success of the event.
