A major goal for the CassLocal.com project, was to make small business support as convenient as possible. If you have a small business, you know that job one, is to make your businesses as simple, and convenient as possible to interact with.
The Corona $1200 checks, are starting to arrive this week. We know that some fortunate Nebraskans are not desperate and might consider helping struggling small businesses, Churches and Non-Profit organizations with a donation or better yet buying Gift Cards. We encourage restaurants, bars, basically any small businesses to get a Gift Card account from companies like Square. This is a convenient way for fortunate Nebraskan's to inject life saving cash into the business, in echange for Goods and Services later when the storm passes. None of this is possible, unless you add your business or Organization to www.CassLocal.com free. Any questions? TEXT VM/402-968-0821

At this time we are still planning on hosting the 14th Annual Benefit Golf Tournament at Kirkman’s Lakeview Golf Course on Saturday, June 20th. There may me some changes to the registration process and how lunch is served as the tournament gets closer and we learn best practices from other tournaments held at the course. The overall goal is to have a fun, safe event for all participants while providing support to SENCA programs and services, which is especially needed during this challenging time. Raffle tickets are on sale now, $1 per ticket, with the drawing held the day of the tournament, winners need not be present to win! Prizes include $750 in American Express Gift Cards and a variety of nice items. To purchase a ticket contact your local SENCA office or call Kay at the Central Office in Humboldt, 402-862-2411 x 109. Please watch SENCA’s Facebook page www.facebook.com/Senca1 for updated tournament info.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Job Opportunities: SENCA also needs your help in filling two positions for the Cass County SENCA office. It is vital that SENCA has a full staff to meet client demands which will allow SENCA to once again provide full-time Monday – Friday, 8:00 to 4:30 local services for Cass County residents at the Plattsmouth office as well as at the satellite office in Weeping Water on select dates.
On SENCA’s web site, www.senca.org, are two full time positions, one for a Family Development Associate and one for an Energy Auditor. These are great opportunities for the right individuals looking for a full-time job where they can help make a difference in their community. If you know of someone you feel might be a good fit for either position, please direct them to the site and have them fill out an on-line application as soon as possible. If they have questions they should contact the Human Resource Director at 1-888-313-5608 extension 113.
