HOMECOMING THIS FRIDAY!
Homecoming is scheduled for the week of August 29th. The football game on Friday, September 3rd, will be against Nebraska City. The theme this year is Light Up The Night Sky, and all are encouraged to wear neon colors to the game to show our support. The Louisville Dance, Cheer, and Student Council members are excited to run the festivities!
The celebration starts with decorating the school hallways during Pride Time. On Sunday, August 29th, a bonfire will take place at the ballfields from 6-8 p.m.. Hot dogs, chips, and drinks
will be provided.
Monday through Friday, the students will be dressing up in various costumes. The dress up days are as follows:
Monday: Spirit Day--Wear your LPS Lions gear!
Tuesday: Western Day
Wednesday: Class color Day
High School
*Freshmen--Wear Red
*Sophomores--Wear Orange
*Juniors--Wear Blue
*Seniors--Wear Pink
*Teachers--Wear Green
Elementary
*Preschool--Wear Red
*Kindergarten--Wear Black
*First--Wear Orange
*Second--Wear Blue
*Third--Wear Pink
*Fourth--Wear Green
*Fifth--Wear Purple
*Teachers--Wear either green or the color assigned to your grade.
Middle School
*Sixth--Wear Yellow
*Seventh--Wear Red
*Eighth--Wear White
*Teachers--Wear Green
Thursday: Jersey Day/Team Apparel Day
Friday: Theme Day--Light up the Night Sky with neon colors!
All are invited to dress up on those days to get into the homecoming spirit!
On Friday, the students will be involved in a parade, weather permitting. The parade will start at approximately 2:00 p.m. at the school and work its way through downtown and back to the school. At the conclusion of the parade, the pep rally will be conducted on the football field (weather permitting). Homecoming candidates will be announced at the pep-rally and coronation will take place after the football game.

The homecoming dance, hosted by the Cheerleaders and Dance Team, will be Saturday evening from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. in the high school commons.
The Louisville students would like to invite all community members to participate in window decorating and the parade.

Nebraska 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb
In remembrance of the 20th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks, members of the public will join area firefighters to climb the stairs of the Werner Park Stadium in honor of the 343 firefighters from the FDNY who died while trying to save others.
Join the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF) on September 11, 2021, for the Nebraska 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb at the Werner Park Stadium, 12356 Ballpark Way, Papillion, NE. Each participant pays tribute to a FDNY firefighter by climbing or walking the equivalent of the 110 stories of the World Trade Center. Registration is $30. Everyone will receive a photo ID of one of the fallen heroes of September 11th. Onsite registration will begin at 7:30 am with Opening Ceremonies beginning at 8:15 am. The Climb will start at 8:30 am and will end at 12:00 pm. Visit https://nfff.akaraisin.com/ui/Nebraska to register and for more information.
“The 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb is an opportunity for anyone in the community to demonstrate respect and admiration for these courageous men who gave their lives trying to save others. It’s also a way to show their loved ones that we will never forget them,” said National Fallen Firefighters Foundation Executive Director Ron Siarnicki.

2021 41st Annual QUACKOFF
The QUACKOFF is back and going to be better then ever! 2021 is going to have some exciting changes made! Starting this year we will be racing the ducks on the last Saturday in September, we've froze our butts off for the last 40 years let's warm it up for the next 40!! In addition to the usual duck races we will be starting off the day with a cornhole tournament to get you warmed up for racing and we will have a variety of food trucks lined up.
