Louisville Community Newsletter #848
•••January 26, 2022•••
Congratulations to Kari Wokenfuss
Kari Wockenfuss, administrator of Louisville Care Center in Louisville, and Tracy Lichti, president and CEO of New Cassel Retirement Center in Omaha, have been elected to serve as co-chairs of the Nebraska Health Care Association’s board of directors. Lichti serves as chair of Nebraska Assisted Living Association and Wockenfuss is chair of Nebraska Nursing Facility Association. They were elected to the Nebraska Health Care Association co-chair positions by their peers last fall, with a one-year term that commenced on Jan. 1, 2022.
“Tracy and Kari are excellent representatives of Nebraska’s health care community,” said Jalene Carpenter, president and CEO of Nebraska Health Care Association. “It is no surprise their peers from across the state voted to have Tracy and Kari lead their advocacy, education, quality, and reimbursement efforts.”
Nebraska Health Care Association is the parent to Nebraska Nursing Facility Association and Nebraska Assisted Living Association, as well as Nebraska Health Care Learning Center and Nebraska Health Care Foundation.

A Quilting Revival
For the quilting world, the pandemic has brought another Quilting Revival. A lot of people found themselves at home during quarantines, and brought a new passion and energy to the quilting craft. Moored at home, families've done extensive inventories during the lockdowns and discovered long-forgotten quilts in need of restoration or decided to find out if they can replicate cherished heirlooms.
