From the Editor
To fish,.. or not to fish..
That is the question..
Guys dream about fishing..
I have met extremely succesful business men, that have the world by it's tail, that only want to get old, be left alone and spend the rest of their life staring at a bobber in a quiet farm pond. Hmmm..
I have to admit, I have spent a lot of time dreaming about fishing.
There are lots of things in life that we never reach, but our imaginations keep us happily reaching
I think that is propbably ok.
In my case, I remember a couple of cases where I stopped dreaming, filled my tackle box, bought a new pole, picked up a bucket of medium leaches, (don't get the jumbo's it's a waste of money), some grubs, and crawlers, new jigs and got up at 3:30am to go kill 'em
Here is what I have learned:
The likelyhood that the actual fishing experience, ( tangled fish line and all ) is going to be anything close to the sweetness of your day dream, is somewhere between zero and none.
One Exception to the Rule:
Take some kid with you, and teach him to fish!
You can be the best fisherman in the world, with one stinken 8 inch crappie! This Saturday you can be a hero, for free!
