ScareCrows - New Tradition for Fall
There was a lot of discussion in the BUILD Meeting about the
Scare Crows Among Us 2008 we are wrapping up.
Nancy, and Nancy really hit a home run and there was lots of stories about visitors that stopped by, to see that scary visitors, and those that were suprised and curious about the purpose. The consensus was that it was a lot of fun, it cost us next to nothing, and that it just begs to be expanded and improved for next year!.
Now that everyone has a good idea, what is possible the creativity we can expect going forward, should be remarkable!
Thanks to OPPD for letting us attach to their poles, thanks to the City workers for all the help and thanks to our Judges that carefuly looked over all the entries.
CHEERS!

Election Day in Louisville
Small town charm and hospitality
I have voted in 4 or 5 elections since I have been here, and I don't think I have ever been asked for an ID. That is really kinda cool. You walk into the Fire Station, everybody says hi, the ladies that are volunteering there are always the same group. They ask about family, and If I still live out there by Yogi. (everybody knows Yogi)
It makes the whole ceremony of Election Day so pleasant and satisfying.
Irina knows all the issues better than I. She finishes her ballot first. She wants to get back to the office.
============= watched election returns till late ==============
I went out to put the flag up this morning.
I noticed the sky, strange and dappled, with remarkable deep tones and colors -
sun just starting to rise.
I have never seen such a sky. Such a quiet morning.
I guess we saw an Obama sky this morning.
Not sure it was a morning I was looking forward to, not sure how it is all gonna work out, but all in all, it looked okay and I think it is gonna be a good day.
Flag looked pretty fine, framed by that remarkable sky.
I guess, maybe that is the point.
