For
MARGO MARINO
AT
INDULGENCE SALON!!!!
On June 20, 2009, Margo Marino was in an
accident in South Bend, Nebraska. She has undergone surgery and was in the Adult
ICU for more than 10 days. Once she is released from the hospital she will be in
rehab center for several months. That is why Indulgence Salon has decided to
give 100% of our profits on Friday August 7th and Saturday August
8th to Margo!! We hope that you can help us support Margo with her
long recovery. She is a very bright girl with a positive attitude, and we know
that she would appreciate your generosity!! We understand that not all of you
come to our salon, so we have decided to also put a donation jar in the salon
from now until August 8th!! Thank you all for your compassion and
generosity during this difficult time. It truly is a
blessing!!!

Getting All Steamed Up
New Definitions: no finer afternoon
My Sunday with the Weber.
slow bonding with some Waynes hickory smoke
We all seem to be working harder these days, and in a lot of cases for the same, or less reward.
That is defined as The New Normal
The Good Old days, is now clearly defined:
This Time last Year
I am concerned that we will soon be learning a new definition:
The New Black Market:
Charcoal
I fear the day, when I will be getting my weekly bag, from the trunk of a Diesel Buick parked next to the railroad tracks. Some guy named Guido, wearing camo and dark glasses. "It's Kingsford, man I swear!" Guido grabs my baseball cap, and puts it on his head. Hey!! Immediately he pulls a stupid beanie out of his pocket and puts it on my head. Guido points at me and says: "Cap and Trade, Man Get Used to it!"
I am pretty sure that my dependance on charcoal, is not going to end well.I am up to a bag a week, plus hickory chips
First, I understand that our consumption of energy in any form, is going to be punished. We have been living really high on the Energy Hog and that day is coming to an end
Second, I am pretty sure that my charcoal addiction is contributing to the demise of some Polar Bear in an small African orphanage somewhere.
I suspect I am going to have to trade my beloved Weber in for a solar cooker oven at some point. When they offer the Cash for Cookers program I am gonna have to enter Propane Rehab
But That Day, is Not THIS Day
We will not Grill Quietly Into The Night!!!!
enjoy the moment - don't take anything for granted anymore
