Louisville School Bond
This is the only Bond
There is not another Bond to Vote on.
Don’t
be misled or confused; confusion is the opposition’s friend. It’s a
fact that some of the opposition have no intention of supporting any
Bond whatsoever in the near future. The current Bond is the only Bond
that has been approved by the Louisville Board of Education. It has
been reviewed and fine tuned for months with the School Board and 100 +
of our citizens from all walks of life and business backgrounds. This
is the well prepared, detailed and strategically planned Bond!

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
Grounds Prep - the
Ash Grove and School fields have to be prepped for the tournament.
Jeff Gaebel is working on it, but if you've seen the School field that
is a very tall (nearly as tall as the weeds) order! Let's get him some
help. Call Jeff at 830-3753 to get in touch with him and find out
how/when you can help.
Garage Sale
- need help with setup and teardown. Setup will be Friday evening and
teardown will be at 5 pm Saturday. Get in touch with Shawna Manley if
you can help at sandgmanley@hotmail.com.
Dog Wash - needs
volunteers. They only have four people right now which won't be nearly
enough if they get busy and won't let anybody have a break. If you can
help, get in touch with Lori at
chevelle_ss_man@yahoo.com.

Manley, NE, August
18, 2009 - The Lofte Community Theatre announces that its
next season installment, "Over the River and Through the Woods" by
Joe DiPietro opens on Friday, August 28th. The comedy revolves
around young Nick and his extended Italian-American family.
Nick's mom and dad have retired and
have moved to Florida, but both sets of grandparents are still very much
involved in his life. Nick gets a
chance to pursue his dream job,
but threatens to move him far
away from New Jersey and his grandparents. Soon the loving, but
meddlesome grannies decide that they must take evasive action. They decide
to find a nice girl for Nick so that he'll settle down and stay on the east
coast! This is a wonderful family
comedy filled with laughs and heartfelt situations about growing up,
growing older, and the things we lose and gain along the
way.
Performing in their
first Lofte production is Jason Weixelman and Chuck Danskin, both of
Lincoln. Both Mr. Weixelman and Mr. Danskin have an extensive
history with the Lincoln Community Playhouse. Also starring in the
production are Mary Ann Stohlmann of Murdock, real-life husband and wife Bob and
Margie Pinkerton of Weeping Water, and Allie Nielsen of
Omaha.
Performances run August
28-30, September 4-6 and 10-13. Curtain times Thursday-Saturday are 7:30pm
and Sundays at 2pm. Those interested in tickets, driving directions
or other information about the theater may call the Lofte box office at (402)
234-2553 or visit their website, www.Lofte.com.
Getting the "once over."
From L-R, Mary Ann Stohlmann, Chuck Danskin, Margie Pinkerton and Bob Pinkerton
give their smiling nods of approval to their grandson's prospective girlfriend,
Allie Nielsen.
The Lofte
Community Theatre is a 501(c)3 non-profit charitable organization
supported in part by The Cooper Foundation, The Midlands Community Foundation,
and the Cass County Visitors Promotion Committee. The Lofte Community Theatre is dedicated to providing
opportunities for area residents of all ages to participate in the creation
process and companionship of live theatre in rural Nebraska and to enjoy the
social, artistic, and educational benefits of this art
form.

We Made It!
Football Season Officially Arrives - Order is Restored
This Summer was not as bad as Last Summer
We still remember the terrible summer of 2008, the storms, and the tragedy.
Not such a Bad Summer all things considered, it is just all the adjusting to the new normal kinda made it seem sorta long and stressful.
It really does not matter, any more because we have made it to the promised land, that wonderful time of year of Pom Poms, Marching Bands and Chicken Wings and Pig Skin!
Happiness is in the Land!
It is entirely possible that this is just a guy thing, but there is such a sense of peace and normality and rich tradition that comes this time of year; just makes me want to grunt and scratch! A New Season, Optimism! That feeling that anything is possible, and we are gonna deal with things, one game at a time! First game, is Friday at Home.
Friday, Lois and Kim tell me there is going to be such a great party, with all the Food, Brats, Dogs, Pork and Wings and the LHS band and the general excitement that welcomes our first real mud - in - the - face contest of pride and pigskin.
5PM LIONS BOOSTERS TAILGATE!
I am not sure what we really know, about NC Lourdes , do they have a Passing Game, do they Blitz on every down? They are coming all the way from Nebraska City, in that mysterious Land of Otoe, so we may have our hands full.
But you just don't know until that first defensive stand where you really learn, who wants it more!
I have always admired our Couches Motto:
"The Harder your Work, the Luckier You Get!"
I think this Friday we are going to get LUCKY!
