"A Christmas Lottery"

Opens Mahoney Winter Theatre Season

Mahoney State Park announces the opening of its winter theater season with the touching holiday story, "A Christmas Lottery" by Dave Brandl, Charles and Donna Ault.

"Lottery" tells the story of George and Mary Williams, winners of a $40 million lottery prize.  They host "Radio Riches," a broadcast where they receive calls and letters from people seeking assistance, and then they share the stories about the people they help.  Who is the most deserving and what will they really receive for Christmas?  Enjoy heartfelt examination of the value of money vs. the quality of life.

Directed by Mike Sewell, the cast includes Stacy White and Shari Hoelker of Omaha, Jim Knierim of Louisville and Tom Lucas of Papillion.  Performances are November 28, 29, Dec 4-6, 11-13, 18-20, 26, 27-30.  Showtimes are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30pm and Sundays at 2pm.  Sunday, December 27th is the only exception; it will have no 2pm matinee, but an evening performance at 7:30pm.  The 28th - 30th shows are also at 7:30pm.

Tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for children 12 and under.  Mahoney State Park  also offers a dinner and show package which includes a meal at Peter Kiewit Lodge.  The price for the dinner/show combination is $20 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under.  A Nebraska state park sticker or purchased day pass will be required to enter the park.

Shown above:  Jim Knierim and Stacy White (sitting) struggle to fulfill the many requests they receive for assistance.  Shari Hoelker and Tom Lucas (standing) bicker over who is more deserving to receive "A Christmas Lottery."

  BLISS!

For those of us that don't remember so good anymore;
We started this year with one, and only one goal:

It some how makes everything else kinda ok to know that we did what we set out to do.

We suffered through years of embarrasment and frustration and taught the world that Nebraska was over, we really were not a serious issue anymore and the world was pretty happy to just write us off and move on.

Haa!!

After all Nebraska is just another one of those "fly over states" What has Nebraska ever done except grow corn?

Well for all those clowns, that were so quick to dismiss us,

Haa!!

Thursday it is Turkey, Friday we are gonna have some Buffalo burgers rare,

..and then.. the following Saturday Evening ....

We gonna get us some...
