OTOE COUNTY GENEALOGICAL SOCIETY
To celebrate the beginning of fall season, the Otoe County Genealogical Society will host a "Fall Foliage Wyuka Tour" at 6:00pm on October 14th at Wyuka Cemetery in Nebraska City. Guests can enjoy the beauty of Nebraska's oldest public cemetery while Wyuka Cemetery historian, Don Hegr, guides them on a 2-hour tour of the cemetery's grounds. Dear Louisvillians,
I think it's safe to say that we've entered the autumn season. All around us, there are signals that are indicating we have entered one of the most wonderful and colorful seasons of the year. Perhaps you have your own favorite fall traditions and events to look forward to. If you aren't sure what to do with your time in the upcoming days and weeks, all it takes is a simple scroll upward to see that there are MANY events that are coming up. There are many nearby town festivals and events that are seeking attendees, so why not check some of those out? In addition to all of the extra special activities, there's usually a sporting event that you're welcome to attend in the evening or on the weekend.
And, if that doesn't occupy your time, may I suggest one of the BEST competitions that Louisville has to offer? How would you like to have a scarecrow of your creative design on display? If so, your chance has arrived! Check out the "Scarecrows Among You" flyer above! This is such an exciting and worthy event...and one that so many people can benefit from. We'll all get to see these creatures positioned on light poles lining our lovely Main Street of Louisville! Wouldn't you like to see yours up there as well? Consider breaking out your crafting skills with family, friends or your organization/group. We look forward to some fine scarecrow displays from everyone!
Have a wonderful week, Louisvillians!
