Some Fair Buildings Open, Carnival Not Operating
8:00am-10:00am Open Class enter Vegetables, Flowers, and Open Class Baked Goods at the Expo Center.
10:00am 4-H Tractor Driving Contest
6:00pm-9:00pm Swine must be at Fairgrounds
6:30pm Cake Auction/4-H Fashion Show/Awards Open Air Auditorium
8:00pm-10:30pm Enter Rabbits and Poultry 4-H & Open Class.
6:00PM-8:00PM Breeding Heifer Check-in
NEW: VIDEO CONTEST ALL WEEK
The Fair Board is hosting a really fun contest this year!
Make a video promoting the Cass County Fair - upload it to www.YouTube.com and anyone young or old could win one of the great cash prizes!!
1st Place - $300
2nd Place - $150
3rd Place - $50

Not a bad proposition! Some extra motivation! - lets get a few more folks involved!
Borrow your aunt's camcorder, get your girlfriend to help create a strategy, get your buddy and his girlfriend to help and be on your "film crew" get your self a T-Shirt that says "Director" get you buddy and his girl friend T-Shirts that say "Film Crew" and plan your shots at the fair. Sneak down there while the carnies are setting up, get so "Pre-Fair" footage - get you buddy eating a "corn dog" and then a close-up of your girl friend panicking on the "tilt-a-whirl" for drama.
GO FOR IT!
That special footage of them making cotton candy, against the beautiful Cass County night sky, might be the winning touch that begins your film career!
..and .. gets you the top prize!!
remember.. the fair is FUN!!! - you are gonna want to be there and drink in all the sights, sounds, smells and memories!
So, bring that Camcorder and shoot the winning video!!

BUILD members,
As a “thank you” to those who helped volunteer at the fireworks stand and to those who generously donated to the Louisville Schools T-Shirt project, BUILD has planned a Louisville day at Werner Park to watch the Storm Chasers take on the Nashville Sounds on Sunday, August 21st at 2:05 p.m.
The plan for the day would be to have a tailgate party in the parking lot starting around 12:30 or so and filter into the game around 2:00. All food and drink for the tailgate party would be provided by BUILD. If you wanted to partake in adult beverages, feel free to bring your own.
BUILD has purchased a limited number of tickets for the game in advance, so please let me know if you would be interested in attending. BUILD will look to purchase more or subsidize additional tickets based on the response we get from those interested in attending.
