Women's Retreat

Wishing you could sneak away for a relaxing time in the mountains? We’ve got the perfect plan!  Cozy Mountain Lodge is a relaxing mountain lodge themed retreat the women of Christ Lutheran Church are doing together on Saturday, October 19th.   It includes worship, Bible study of the Naomi & Ruth story, and time for laughter as well as time for quiet reflection.

We’ll begin with Registration Coffee and Muffins at 8:30 with the Retreat beginning promptly at 9:00 and will finish by 4:00 that afternoon.

Our retreat will be held in our Fellowship Hall and the cost is only $25 per person! This covers muffins, a delicious lunch and  fun and refreshing activities.

Call Pastor Naomi Hartman at the church at 402-298-8429 or email at clc_pastor@jagwireless.net  for more information and to register.

Do you have a friend or relative who would enjoy this getaway?  Please extend an invitation to them to join us.  The more the merrier!

Take time to relax, to deepen friendships, to create new friendships, to worship, and to draw closer to God.  We hope you’ll join us at Cozy Mountain Lodge

Back By Popular Demand!

Back by popular demand is The Plattsmouth Conservancy Haunted Victorian Ghost Walk!

The Ghost Walk will take place on the evenings of

Friday, October 11th and

Saturday, October 12th

from 7:30 – 10:00 p.m.

You will have the opportunity to follow the night watchman’s lantern through the enchanted hills of Plattsmouth where they will step inside four historic Plattsmouth homes and experience haunted tales of current and days gone by.  You will also make stops during your walk and listen to stories of ghost hauntings in the local Plattsmouth area.

This is not your traditional “haunted house” event.  We promise that no skeletons will pop out at you or giant spiders drop down on you (or at least that I know of).  But perhaps you will catch a glimpse of a ghostly spirit who chooses to make their presence known at this time of year when the veil between our world and the spirit world is most easily penetrated.

This is a walking tour so appropriate dress and walking shoes are recommended.  There is a total of twelve blocks between the four houses with stops at each house where guests will be seated to listen to a haunted tale.

To make reservations please contact Sandra Allgeier @ sallgeier@windstream.net  or (402) 296-2249.  You may also purchase tickets at Antiques Off Main, 125 S 5th Street, Plattsmouth, Nebraska  - (402) 296-3113.

If you are interested in attending the Ghost Walk I would encourage you to purchase your tickets early.  Tickets are limited and we sold out quickly in previous years.

This really is a great event – I promise you will not be disappointed!

Best Wishes and Happy Halloween!

Animals for Adoption at Plattsmouth Animal Shelter

Millie

This is Milly, she is a 1yr old spayed female mix.  Mommy was a shi-poo and daddy a sheltie but I see terrier mix in her.  She is a doll that loves everybody and everything.  She is the perfect companion for anyone.  She is trying really hard on her potty training and doing good, we have a sweater and potty pants to come with her.  We will also throw in some potty pads to use in the home to prevent accidents.
Milly has spent too much time in a shelter and wants to bond with someone, I took her home for the weekend and she was so good in the house, she wore her pants and had no accidents at all, she lays by your side and just wants to be with you.  She didn't tear anything up, she didn't do anything bad at all.  Won't someone give her a chance??
If you may be interested ask about fostering her before adopting.
