Louisville Public Schools students and staff members participated in the Dress Down for Down Syndrome fundraiser the last Thursday and Friday. Staff members were allowed to wear jeans for a donation & students got to wear hats. Over $500 was raised for the Down Syndrome Awareness Organization.

The Stanley Family is extremely grateful for all the school staff & students have done in their efforts to raise money for the cause.

Join us for a Friends of the Library Kick-off Meeting Tuesday, October 22, 2013 7:00 pm @ the Louisville Public Library! The library has made some significant improvements and changes over the last year! Come see what we have done, and be a part of where we dream to be tomorrow!

Friends of the Library is open to patrons within the city limits or the surrounding communities. It is a new group being established to provide input to the Louisville Public Library Board, help advocate for library services, participate in fundraising, support library programs and so much more! Women's Retreat

Wishing you could sneak away for a relaxing time in the mountains? We’ve got the perfect plan! Cozy Mountain Lodge is a relaxing mountain lodge themed retreat the women of Christ Lutheran Church are doing together on Saturday, October 19th. It includes worship, Bible study of the Naomi & Ruth story, and time for laughter as well as time for quiet reflection.

We’ll begin with Registration Coffee and Muffins at 8:30 with the Retreat beginning promptly at 9:00 and will finish by 4:00 that afternoon.

Our retreat will be held in our Fellowship Hall and the cost is only $25 per person! This covers muffins, a delicious lunch and fun and refreshing activities.

Animals for Adoption at Plattsmouth Animal Shelter

Millie

This is Milly, she is a 1yr old spayed female mix. Mommy was a shi-poo and daddy a sheltie but I see terrier mix in her. She is a doll that loves everybody and everything. She is the perfect companion for anyone. She is trying really hard on her potty training and doing good, we have a sweater and potty pants to come with her. We will also throw in some potty pads to use in the home to prevent accidents.

Milly has spent too much time in a shelter and wants to bond with someone, I took her home for the weekend and she was so good in the house, she wore her pants and had no accidents at all, she lays by your side and just wants to be with you. She didn't tear anything up, she didn't do anything bad at all. Won't someone give her a chance??

If you may be interested ask about fostering her before adopting.
