Louisville sign on I-80 will be back

Randy Peters with the Nebraska DOT met with Senator Kintner's office to let everyone know a sign for Louisville has been approved for placement on westbound I80 somewhere near the 144th Street/Highway 50 exit.

This is just initial planning at this point, but the plan is going forward.

Senator Kintner is very proud of this accomplishment.
We will pass along planning details as they develop.

Road Construction

Starting the week of March 31, if you plan to drive on Highway 75 between Union and Nebraska City, you will probably need to add at least a half hour to your trip.

A six-mile stretch of highway south of the Union corner will be shut down until September while crews rebuild the road.

Either plan to detour west on Hwy 34 to Hwy 50, then south to Hwy 2, or go across the Plattsmouth toll bridge to I-29 and down the interstate.  The only other way is to drive much slower on the rocky, dusty, gravel roads and with possibly a lot more traffic and impatient drivers, they may become treacherous.
Plan accordingly, so you don't have to hurry!

BE SAFE AND THAT KEEPS OTHERS SAFE, TOO!

Louisville is searching for new organizers for their annual LAST HOT SUNDAY IN JULY auto/truck show 'n shine. This will be the 10th anniversary of Louisville's most successful event and is in danger of being the last. The current organizers, Dee & Nancy say after 10  years....they are ready to hand the reins over to people with new ideas and new energy.
