Next Tuesday Morning 2/5/08

From President Scholting

 It's really important!

We really need our business people to attend next

Tuesday morning's meeting.

Several ideas are in the works and we want to have a great turnout so that we can share ideas and make decisions in order to "Re - unite" our business community.

Seems we may have lost some of our enthusiasm due to the winter blahs! Not sure exactly why, but something's going on and we need a revival! We are scheduled for Feb 5th at 7:15AM at the Louisville Assisted Living facility.

We currently have our Main Street Banner project in the works. Very exciting! New details to be unveiled at the meeting!
This will involve our beautiful downtown area store fronts.
We need to have as many main street business owners there as possible.

We have many things to discuss for 2008

Please help!

Thanks,

Terri Scholting - President

New Community Website

Delayed 1 Week
Launch of the New Louisville Nebraska Community Website had to be postponed one week, until Wed Feb 6th. Rats! One of the many new features is a real-time Louisville News Ticker  that will scroll on the homepage,
much like the scrolling sign Dee operates on Main Street
I am embarrassed to say there is a "bug in our ticker"

We have heard from several groups, that will have access to their own areas within the new site to create, manage, share their groups up to the minute information with the community. We have endless creative ways to provide you free access to the internet, and the community now through a generous donation as
Principal Sponsor  Home State Bank

Your new website can be for: Church Bulletins, Club Announcements, Fire Department assignments, Library Events, Snow Blower Tune-Up Seminars, Boy Scout Awards - anything that is Community Oriented is part of the new Community Website, and we are anxious to teach you how to get started. You do NOT need to be a webmaster, and you do not need to wait on a webmaster to make your changes, and update your information. You just need to be able to get to a computer, like at the Library and the Elves at WireBuilt will teach you the rest.

We will be at the next BUILD meeting on Tuesday, and we can answer your questions there as well! - This is provided FREE for the Louisville Community

If I have not described your small company, or organization then tell me about it Click Here to or call 234-2345 to make sure that we don't forget about you!

(The Commemorative Publication Honoring the Beginnings of Louisville)
are in and they are for sale at the city office $15

If you have not seen one, you better hurry! These handsome books
that include 94 pages of facts, stories, pictures, legends and romance.. well maybe not romance, unless you include Dynamite Pete getting married. This is a must have collectors item for anyone with family, friends or distant relatives
from Louisville or the surrounding area.

2007 was officially a year long celebration of Louisville History
in recognition of our 150 year birthday

The birthday celebration brought out tremendous creativity, pride, a Mayoral Proclamation, even Fireworks and included a 150 Year Trivia Challenge idea conceived of by Terry Scholting Click Here as well as the Publication of these beautiful Commemorative Books,
a brilliant idea suggested by Dee Arias.

BUILD sold 180 copies including vigorous pushing and shoving right at the end when the last issues disappeared so
Dee went ahead and ordered this last bunch of 50
So, fair warning! When they are gone, they are gone so email Dee now before you miss your chance!

From the Editor
Fuzzy Logic
Man vs Nature

When the snow comes down, the battle rages. The frenetic chattering of teeth, eyes wide with terror, hearts beating at dangerous rates, straight out of Wild Kingdom..

Squirrels are after the sunflower seeds again!! Tree Rats!

We have created a Bird Feeder that is popular for miles! We have special tender, tasty seeds, of various species, an elegant suet bar, lots of bird friendly artifacts and features.

In the spring, Irina makes an addictive Humming Bird juice, that inspires all out kamikaze attacks and groggy buzzed and addicted hummers everywhere.

But now, even with the very obvious "
No Squirrels Allowed!" sign squirrels have penetrated the defenses, seed security has been compromised and their fuzzy tails are hanging out of the bird feeders in defiance! Carelessly dusting the snowy air

We are left with no choice

We must deploy our own homeland security measures.
Our Weapon of Mice Destruction,
the feared Test Puppy!

This lazy beast spends most of her life, conked out on a couch, or munching on kibbles.

But when she is called to action, she is a full 10 inches of fur and purpose. It is her job to protect those seeds..

For maximum entertainment value, patience is recommended. Wait until you have at least 2, (3 is better) fat squirrels squeezed into one or more of the bird feeders
... and than .. suddenly .. silently ...

Release the Beast!!!!

If you have at least 6 inches of fluffy snow, it is gonna be a show as neither the Puppy nor the Squirrel's
have legs longer then 4 inches,
a virtual white-out scramble - and a few seconds later

...Order has been Restored...
