This year's homecoming is scheduled for the week of October 13 - the football game is on Friday, October 17 against Auburn. Theme is “Frozen”.
We will start the homecoming week off on Sunday, October 5 students decorating the hallways. Monday through Friday, the students will be dressing up in various costumes and participating in class competition games. On Friday, the Student Council is planning on having a parade. The parade will start at approximately 2:45 p.m. at the school and work its way through downtown and back to the football field. At the conclusion of the parade, the pep rally will be conducted at the football field. After the football game, the candidates will be introduced.
The Homecoming coronation and dance, hosted by the Cheerleaders and Dance Team will be Saturday evening. Coronation begins at 6:00pm, with the dance going from 7:00 to 11:00 pm at the school.
The student council would like to invite all community members to participate in window decorating and the parade. For window decorating, you can paint windows or put up posters. If you need help with decorating, please let me know and the student council will assist you. If you would like to put a float in the parade, please contact me so I can plan accordingly. To contact me for more information or to enter a float in the parade, please email me at jstewart@lpslions.org

Lost Dog Found on Hwy 34
I'm hoping you can help with this. I found this very scared beautiful dog on Highway 34 about 2 miles East of Highway 63 this morning. She looks like a lab mix - slightly longer hair/fluffy tail and has a pink and white color with no tags. Once you give her a few minutes, she walks right up to you and is very friendly - she jumped right into my car once I opened the door. She looks like she's been on her own for a little while. A big thank you to the gentlemen who stopped to help and drove to nearby houses asking if they owned her and also to the Nebraska State Trooper who helped arrange for animal control to meet me at my office. Please share this with everyone you can. I'm hoping her family is looking for her!!! If you know this dog, you can call Lincoln Animal Control at 402-441-7900 and they can direct you to the shelter where she was taken.
9/29/14 -As of late Monday - she had not been returned to her home. I did find a missing dog report on the Nebraska Humane Society's website that COULD be her. I passed the info along to the Capital Humane Society and they were going to check it out.
Any help you could provide is greatly appreciated!

There are over twenty Alfred Hitchcock film references in this script. Can you detect them all?
New York couple Marnie and Jeff spy on a neighbor and witness him doing away with his wife. The bumbling witnesses sneak into the apartment (which is a mere 39 steps away) and the fun begins!
"Psycho", "The Birds", "North By Northwest", they're all in here! Slapstick pratfalls and gag-filled one-liners. This production will be knee-slappingly funny from start to finish.
