KCCB will have free trash bags, disposable gloves, and loan other supplies as needed for your cleanup. Just let us know what you need and when you are planning your event.
If you’d like to know more about our non-profit organization, please read the attached winter newsletter and go to our website at KeepCassCountyBeautiful.org for more information. You can also follow us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/KeepCassCountyBeautiful and Twitter at https://twitter.com/KeepCassCountyB for current events and other environmental information.
We are also kicking off our 2015 membership drive now through January. (More information about membership can be found in the newsletter and on our website.)
We helped support three Household Hazardous Waste cleanups in the county this fall, started recycling at the Cass County Fair this year, and will inform you when the next events will take place in 2015.

Proposed Louisville City Emergency Alerts
"May you live in interesting times"

Recently we were asked by several Communities in Cass to adapt our Mobile Messaging Technology to provide for City Alerts via TEXT Message.
The hope is that there is never a need for such an Alert but if there ever was, it would be very comforting to know that such a system could deliver a message to thousands in seconds with greater than 93% open rates.
The cost of this technology is far beyond the reach of small communities, and it is mostly coincidental that it is available affordably here. Elmwood was the first Community in Nebraska to adopt this technology on 12/3/2014 - see attached Press Release..
The City Council will hear the issue this evening at the 7PM City Council Meeting - Presenting this Proposal will be the Woman that created the Original Cass County Internet Task Force - Marie Gregoire of Murdoch - Get a chance to Meet a True Cass County Technology Pioneer and hear Marie Speak on this new City Alert Proposal
Thank you, and stay warm - John Harrington - 402-968-0821

Welcome to A Step Ahead - "Our Family Welcomes Your Family"

==================================================

Beginning with the Wed 5/21/2014 Newsletter all of the Communities will be able to post, buy, sell ads for general merchandise such as mowers, baby cribs, cars, computers and Real Estate.
We especially hope that the classified ads will be used to post Jobs, look for positions, and post special events, birthdays, church events and Garage Sales.
Certainly there are lots of places on the Internet to post ads, but I know that some folks are uncomfortable with using EBay or Craigs List - this is just your neighbors and should be a bit less scary.
Step 1: you do need to have an account, and an email address to manage your ads. You will be notified to renew your ad, you can change info, pricing, and pics as long as you have this account.
Step 2: create an ad, indicate if it is Elmwood, Eagle, Louisville and Alvo and post it
Step 3: wait for approval. We will approve ads as close to immediately as possible. We need to take a quick peek and make sure that it is a real ad, and if anything needs fixing we will fix it.
Step 4: post it to Facebook if you like!
Ads will now show everywhere, regardless if it was posted in Elmwood or Alvo. Our number one request was to post once, and make it visible everywhere. Ads will also be Goggle/Twitter searchable as well as location, travel directions searchable.
So, get cracking! Create that account, and post everything in your garage and basement!
If you need some assistance TEXT us at 4029680821
