A Personal Note from the Murray Editor...
During this season of love and generosity, I feel the need to share this tragic story. Amber Gray, is my cousin's grand-daughter. Amber just celebrated her 14-year birthday at Thanksgiving time. Three and a half weeks later, at the beginning of Christmas week, she was still a healthy, happy young girl. Overnight, what was thought to possibly be strep throat, was quickly diagnosed as influenza, type 'A'.

Sadly, one bad turn after another occurred and on Christmas day, while everyone else was celebrating the joy of the season with loved ones, Amber's heart stopped. The 'paddles' briefly brought it back to its' job of pumping life through her young body, but on December 28th, Amber lost the fight.
Now, after 6 days in the hospital and with pending funeral expenses, Amber's parents are facing a huge financial burden. (Amber has a little brother, Aidan, too.) Please visit the link below, where Amber's uncle, Adam Broman, has set up a campaign to help. Amber's folks would be grateful for any donation you might feel in your heart to help with and it would be sincerely appreciated.
Thank you.

Proposed Louisville City Emergency Alerts
"May you live in interesting times"
Recently we were asked by several Communities in Cass to adapt our Mobile Messaging Technology to provide for City Alerts via TEXT Message.
The hope is that there is never a need for such an Alert but if there ever was, it would be very comforting to know that such a system could deliver a message to thousands in seconds with greater than 93% open rates.
The cost of this technology is far beyond the reach of small communities, and it is mostly coincidental that it is available affordably here. Elmwood was the first Community in Nebraska to adopt this technology on 12/3/2014 - see attached Press Release..
The City Council will hear the issue this evening at the 7PM City Council Meeting - Presenting this Proposal will be the Woman that created the Original Cass County Internet Task Force - Marie Gregoire of Murdoch - Get a chance to Meet a True Cass County Technology Pioneer and hear Marie Speak on this new City Alert Proposal
