Lofte 2015 Season: Tickets, Shows and More!

While the Early Bird Season Ticket promotion has expired, you still have plenty of time to purchase a season package at the Lofte for a very affordable $75.

Hilda’s Yard by Norm Foster

It’s 1956 and new empty-nesters, Sam and Hilda are enjoying their time without the kids. However, in one day, they see both their son and daughter come back home. A funny look at how family dynamics never really change.

Godspell Book by John-Michael Tebelak and Music by Stephen Schwartz

The fun, modern day retelling of the Gospel According to Matthew. At times comedic and sentimental, witness as Jesus Christ recruits a group of followers and teaches his lessons through song and dance.

Proof by David Auburn

Winner of the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award, ‘Proof’ is the story of the brilliant daughter of an esteemed mathematician. After her father’s death, several profound calculations are found. Can she prove that the work is hers? Or is she mentally ill?

Dear Santa by Rob Frankel

Different children share their views of jolly St. Nick and answer questions about his many mysteries. The magic of Santa can transcend the boundaries of race, gender and religion.

Season extras for 2015 include the Missoula Children’s Theatre production, “Sleeping Beauty.” If you enjoy NPR’s “Prairie Home Companion” with Garrison Keillor, you’re sure to love, “Plains Folk: A Lofte Home Companion.” Written and performed by some of the Lofte’s most talented alumni, it takes place on March 28. Spring is in the air this April 24-26 and the Lofte will showcase three performances of the beloved play, “Love Letters.” Comedy improv is alive and well in Cass County as we present, “Whose Lofte is it Anyway?” on June 20.

Your season flyers will be mailed in February. Select the shows, dates and seats on the order form and mail it to the box office. If you don’t happen to receive a season flyer, fear not! We always make the flyer available on our website, or you can call the box office staff and request that one be mailed to you.

Mahoney State Park Food Service

DINING ROOM AT MAHONEY STATE PARK temporarily closed -- The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission will seek a new food service provider. The previous provider, Mahoney Grille, operated by Jeff and Emily Parker of Parker’s Smokehouse LLC, chose not to extend its contract option, ending services to the park last week.

Food concessions located at various park activity locations, such as the Ice Rink/Activity Center are not impacted by this temporary closure, and will maintain advertised hours of operation.

Game and Parks is working with the Nebraska Department of Administrative Services and preparing to advertise a request to seek a new provider. The goal is to have new contracted food service open by the summer park season. The park’s kitchen and dining facilities will undergo renovations in the meantime.

For overnight guests, the park will provide limited breakfast and convenience food options.
