Conestoga Student, Brooklynne Jeffries, Designs Official Cass County Flag
On Wednesday, January 21, 2015, at Conestoga Jr-Sr High's student assembly, Cass County representative, Janet McCartney, announced the winner of the official county-wide flag art contest. The honor, a replica flag of her own design, went to student, Brooklynne Jeffries. Students from Cass County were invited to submit designs for a county flag last year. The entries were displayed at the Cass County Fair in August, and fair-goers voted for their favorite design. Results were tallied and Brooklynne's design received the most votes.
Conestoga junior, Haley Lantz, received the third largest number of votes and was also recognized at the assembly.
The Graphics Design students, taught by Ms. Bonnie Ahrens, participated in the contest, with all students submitting their own creative design.

County representatives indicate a full-size flag will hang in the County Commisioners' Room at the Cass County Court House in Plattsmouth. A replica of the flag will hang in the entry area of Conestoga High School.
Congratulations, Brooklynne for your creation!

VOLUNTEER RECOGNITION ANNUAL MEETING
SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 22ND AT 2PM
Attention Lofte family and friends! If you’ve painted, acted, torn a ticket or made a donation over the past few years, we want to celebrate you! This year the Lofte’s Volunteer Recognition Celebration will be held on Sunday, February 22nd at 2pm in the afternoon. After holding the event on a Saturday night for the past few years, we’ve decided to adjust the schedule just a bit to see if even more people can join us. With the adjusted time, we will not be serving a full meal, but we will have cake and refreshments to celebrate our 10th season in the new building. We’ll also be looking forward to the 2016 season announcements. 2016 will be the Lofte’s 40th year!
The Lofte’s Board of Directors and Chairman Jeff Johnston will also present the Lofte’s current financial information and announce the three most valued volunteers in 2014.
No RSVP required. Please just join us for some fun and fellowship!

LBPA Registration ends - Valentines Day 2/14/15

-------- Hey, Umpire!! Do you need Glasses or Something!!!! --------

-------- That's My Dad!! ---------
I spoke to Kevin Albert and learned alot about the Louisville Ball Parents Association. The LBPA maintains this excellent Website : http://LouisvilleBallParentsAssociation.com/
The LBPA maintains the Ball Field completely except for the Grass Mowing that the City does. Each year they help fund the LBPA through the sale of 3x5 Banners that stay on the Ball Fence throughout the season a small entry fee that the Kiddo's pay, and through the Tasty Concessions on sale during the Games.
The Louisville Ball Parents Assoiciation (LBPA), is a non-commercial and non-partisan organization for the purpose of providing baseball and softball programs for the youth residing in the Louisville School District. The LBPA is made up of players, coaches, and volunteers from the City of Louisville, NE. Thank you to all volunteers we count on these people to sustain our organization and make it the success that is. We are dedicated to promoting, developing, sustaining, and supervising a youth baseball and softball program. This includes, but is not limited to, teaching baseball/softball rules, skills, values of teamwork, sportsmanship, safety, and other characteristics of moral citizenship.
The LBPA has served the City of Louisville youth since 1996.
