Harmonica Workshop
Greenblatt & Seay's Schoolhouse Performance Series features a Harmonica Workshop on Sunday, April 9, at 2:30 PM, in the Old Avoca, Nebraska Schoolhouse. David Seay will provide an introduction to the 10 hole diatonic harmonica in the key of C Major. Each adult and student admission includes a free harmonica for those 6 years old or older. The workshop will be downstairs, and followed by light refreshments, and a chance to chat and even jam with Greenblatt & Seay. David Seay is a Master Artist with the Nebraska Arts Council's Artist-in-the-Schools program, and participates in Humanities Nebraska's Speakers Bureau.
Avoca is in southern Cass County, Nebraska, on the 13 C Spur, one mile south of Highway 34.

The historic Old Avoca Schoolhouse was built in 1925, and has been the home of the Schoolhouse Performance Series since 1990. Music lessons, workshops, fiddle camps, and field trips are offered by Schoolhouse residents, Greenblatt & Seay, and are available by appointment.
Give Blood with the Red Cross during
National Volunteer Month
LINCOLN, Neb. (March 20, 2017) – The American Red Cross encourages eligible donors togive blood during National Volunteer Month this April. Donating blood is a simple way to make aprofound difference in the lives of patients.Nearly 2.8 million generous people donated blood through the Red Cross last year. The RedCross salutes these volunteer blood donors who helped fulfill its lifesaving mission and invitesothers to roll up a sleeve and join them.Bill Parr has been donating blood for more than 30 years. “I think it’s one of the most rewardingthings you can do, knowing that such a simple act can have such a positive impact on anotherhuman being in a time of need,” he said.Volunteer donors are the only source of blood products for those in need of transfusions.Donors of all blood types are needed this spring.Make an appointment to donate blood by downloading the free Red Cross Blood Donor App,visiting redcrossblood.org or calling 1-800- RED CROSS (1-800- 733-2767).Upcoming blood donation opportunities:
