I guess we are expecting 2-4 inches of snow
today, and they forecast a 20 MPH wind to drift that snow up. Around here
that means, GBC!!
Having Fun and Watchin it Snow South of the
RiverI like our perky weather lady on the news fine, but it is just silly how often 2-4 inches of forecast becomes a blizzard, with a foot of flurries and everybody hunkered down watching TV. TV means, reality shows, and political ads until they get the write strike sorted out. It really does not matter, to me because our neighbor, Michelle makes incredible GBC and nobody is gonna starve. We have New Editors writing weekly newsletters now representing 2 of the Communities that we support at www.NebraskaCommunityWebsites In Plattsmouth we have Stephen Hunt, Director of the Plattsmouth Library providing 2 of his folks: Josh and Anthony Click Here In Avoca we are proud to have Teresa Lorensen Executive Director of the Bess Streeter Aldrich Foundation representing that Community. Click Here As I get to talk to folks about being a Community Editor, I have to go back and re-read the mission, so I don't screw it up. There is a quality of life that we have here in small town Nebraska that is hard to describe, but it has something to do with neighbors. Our task as Editors is to write about life in small town Nebraska. For inspiration I like to suggest reading Garrison Keillor's "A Prairie Home Companion" For instance: Our Neighbors not only make the best Green Bean Casserole on the planet, but good ol' Bill has a truck with a plow and I know for a fact that if we get a foot of snow, I can beg bill to come dig us out, and he will! He is just that kinda guy. We may have to get to Jeff's for more Green Beans! Computer John Editor LouisvilleNebraska.Com mailto:ComputerJohn@LouisvilleN
